Squires Collect Over 600 Items for Food Pantry

August 21st, 2010,

The Squires enjoyed a great day.  They started the day with a Scavenger Hunt Food Drive for St. John's Food Pantry.  Squires Andy Spidle, Noah Manser, Aaron Hietpas, Paxton Leicht, James Vosters, Isaac Vosters, Richard Vosters, Zach Vosters, and Michael Elrick were joined by friends Lars Schroeder, Isaac Runde, Ben Coenen, Jacob Schmeider and Will Demerath and collected over 600 items for the St. John Food Pantry.   Thanks to Bill and Toni Ellenbecker for opening the pantry and helping us stock the shelves.

The team of Noah Manser, Andy Spidle, Aaron Hietpas, Isaac Runde and Jacob Schmeider collected the most items and won $5 gift cards from Family Video.     Congratulations to these young men and all of the other participants.

After the scavenger hunt the teams enjoyed a pool party and had a great time.  (However, some had to be lightly coaxed into getting into the pool by the counselors)  :)
