The Knights of Columbus Fraternal Order was founded in 1882 on the principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.  The now venerable Father Michael J. McGivney and a small group of men at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT originally created the group for the welfare of widows and orphans.  In 1900, a 4th principle of Patriotism was added honoring Catholicity as being a major contributor to the growth of the Roman Catholic Church in America.  Today, the Order has grown to be the largest Catholic Family Fraternal Service Organization in the World; serving both the Catholic Church and greater community.
With over 1.75 million members and more than 14,000 councils in 14 countries, we stand in solidarity with Our Priests and Bishops, and for Our Unwavering Support of Life in all stages from conception until natural death.  Last year the Knights of Columbus worldwide donated over 143 Million dollars and 68 Million man hours of volunteer service.

Monsignor John J. Sprangers Council 10919 in Little Chute, WI was chartered in June, 1992.  Through the Surge for Service Program our members are involved in church, community, council, family, and youth activities.  One of our most recent notable projects was the promotion of the 10 Commandments monument in front of St. John's Catholic Church.  Pictured here are 4th Degree Honor Guard Knights with then Green Bay Diocese Bishop David Zubick and Pastor Father Jim Hablewitz at the dedication ceremony.
